This December, celebrate Christmas with the church families of Cookeville First Baptist Church and Stevens Street Baptist Church! Join us for a special Christmas worship service featuring the combined choirs, kids choirs, orchestras, and worship teams from both churches.

There are two opportunities to attend: Friday, December 9 at 6:00pm and Sunday, December 11 at 6:00pm. Both services will be in the sanctuary of Cookeville First Baptist Church, located at 18 S. Walnut Ave, Cookeville, TN.

 Why are you having a combined Christmas celebration this year?

Stevens Street Baptist Church was started in 1947 as a church plant of Cookeville First Baptist Church. This year marks the 75th anniversary of our two churches’ relationship, and we wanted to celebrate the occasion with a joint service, remembering God’s faithfulness to both our churches and our partnership in serving Cookeville.

What can I expect at this service?

The service will last about an hour and 15 minutes, and will consist of great Christmas music led by a large combined choir and orchestra, readings from the Bible about the Christmas story, and congregational singing of familiar Christmas carols.

Will childcare be available?

There will be no childcare available, but kids are invited to attend and enjoy the service.

Are the two services the same?

Yes, both services are identical and will begin at 6:00pm.

I didn’t get a ticket. What can I do now?

We would love for you to join us virtually by watching the livestream of the event! You will find a link to that on this webpage on Dec. 9 and Dec. 11.

Why do I need to reserve tickets?

Seating is limited, so free tickets are available to help us spread out the crowd between the two services. Please plan to arrive early to secure your seat and enjoy some Christmas pre-service music from the combined orchestra. You can reserve free tickets here.
