Joey Norsworthy

Counseling Intern

Hello, I am Joey Norsworthy and I have a passion for helping people become the joyful and hopeful human beings they were created to be. I believe the Lord has been preparing me for a long time for His purpose and now is leading me into a new chapter in my life. So, I am seeking a Master’s degree in Counseling from Tennessee Tech University with a focus on Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As I enter my second year of the two-year curriculum, I am beginning a two-semester internship with April Norrod Counseling. This part of the training includes a significant number of supervised counseling hours at no charge. My site supervisor will be April Norrod, who has been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for 10+ years and my university supervisor is Dr. Mark Loftis, the counseling program director at Tennessee Tech.

If you are struggling and need to talk with someone about life issues including marriage, school, work, anxiety, depression, friendships, pornography, or addiction, I am willing to walk with you in strict confidentiality. I believe we were never meant to walk our paths alone, but all too often we try to do this and end up in a place of pain and hurt. Or maybe, sometimes “life just happens to us” and it causes problems. If you find yourself in either space, know that you are not alone. I want to help. Please reach out to the number below. You will be connected briefly with my site supervisor, April, and then she will connect you directly to me. 931-400-0261 (April Norrod Counseling)
