Notes
Be sure to keep reading to catch the conference opportunity under the “Extra” section near the bottom of this page.
If you haven’t already, please be sure to respond to your Planning Center request sent to your email. This helps us keep our email lists clean and accurate (and it’s the way veteran choir members “earn” their choir folder!). If you have problems getting that request from Planning Center, please let me or April know.
Some of you have been in choir for years now, but may be interested in seeing the information that we give new worship ministry members, including our worship ministry handbook. You’ll find (hopefully) helpful information about what we do, and be reminded of our mutual commitment to one another serving in the worship ministry. You can see that document here.
Connect groups will resume in a few weeks after we set our Fall roster.

An Extra
I am planning on attending the Middle TN Regional Worship Summit, which is a one-day mini-conference put on by the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, and I’d love to invite any worship ministry members to come along! (We may even take the church bus…)
It will take place Saturday, August 19th at Belle Aire Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN from 9:00a-2:30p. More info can be found here: worshipsummits.com/middle
The TBMB hosts these summits yearly to provide intentional times of sharpening for worship pastors and their teams. I’ve attended this in the past, and found it very helpful. There are several clinicians involved who specialize in different areas of worship ministry (choir, kids choir, instrumental music, A/V, etc), and you will be able to choose different sessions to attend.
It’s great to talk to other worship leaders to troubleshoot common problems and be encouraged about the work of ministry across the state. You’ll also have the chance to ask questions in a relaxed, smaller setting.
There is a cost to this conference ($40/person), but for any worship ministry members who attend, the church will cover half the cost. (If we have 10 or more attend, the cost actually goes down to $30/person). So the cost for you would be either $20 or $15, and this includes a lunch.
If you are interested in attending this conference, please let me or April know within the next few days.
